- Irma, libre et indigent: I'm not claiming that economics will guarantee successful outcomes here; I'm claiming that, through giving would-be parents a free "way out" at every step along the way, they have absolutely no excuse if they can't provide for their children.

- I don't see a moral distinction between the two; the destruction of an embryo or fetus bothers me no more (which is to say, not at all) than allowing an egg and millions of sperm to die separate from one another.
